Review - The Cat's Meow Toy

I admit it. Even though I've never met a box I didn't like, I can be a picky kitty.  I'm picky about my canned food, and I'm picky about toys.  So is Lola (and she's REALLY picky about food, too. But don't tell her I told you.) It takes a special toy to hold our attention on an ongoing basis, and we have a toy box full of stuff to prove it.  Mother has bought many a toy with the vision of the two of us jumping for joy while playing with it, only to have her bubble (and wallet) broken.  Well, that was until she brought home The Cat's Meow.

I have one word for this toy, and that is MEOWZA! It is unbelievably F.U.N. and I can't get enough of it! Here I am sitting next to it waiting for Mother to turn it on for me.

Excuse me, Mother.  Could you use those thumbs to turn this on?

Let me tell you a little bit about it.  It's very easy to assemble. All you have to do is insert the mouse wand into the base, place the durable vinyl cover onto the base, and voila! You're done.  The hardest part for Mother was opening the battery compartment with a phillip's screwdriver. Once it was opened she popped in three C batteries and the fun began!

As soon as Mother turned it on, Lola ran for it. I sat back and watched for several minutes before I exerted any energy playing with it. (No reason to use up perfectly good energy on something you don't like.) It got my curiosity so I decided to give it a try.  And oh boy, did I have fun! Lola and I played, and played and played! We chased that little wand around and around. We watched it, wiggled our butts, and lunged at it! I've never liked a toy so much that didn't have nip in it.  And the best thing for Mother was we were playing together!

Mother always says "actions speak louder than words", so here's a little video to show you.  Lola and I were sound asleep napping when Mother turned it on and we came running!

This toy gets my pawstamp of approval. I also give it two meows and a tail shake! Let us know if you have one and how you like it.

  1. We have one of those but ours has never worked as fast as yours, we must have got the lazy version, MOL! Oliver, and don't tell him I told you this, is actually afraid of it and runs away when Mom turns it on, MOL! I like it but I get bored very fast. We also found that the batteries run down pretty fast.

  5. I'm so happy you're loving your Cat's Meow! I got one for Truffles last Christmas and I ended up putting it away because she seemed to be afraid of it!
