Friends Live Forever in Our Hearts

When we posted our interview with Prince Pan Pan on Friday, July 10, 2015, we had no idea we would be back two weeks later to let everyone know that he has made his journey to The Rainbow Bridge.  We are heartbroken and feel a sadness that is beyond words.  Pan Pan was one of our oldest friends and there is a hole in our hearts today.

Pan Pan wrote this on his Facebook page last night:

"To All My Sweet Furriends -
As I said last night, although I haven't really felt well lately, I never wanted any of you to be sad or worried about me. Today, after a series of tests and examinations by some of the best veterinary specialists in Central Florida, it was determined that I had renal lymphoma. Although this disease is treatable, there is no cure, and because of my enlarged heart, I would not be a good candidate for chemotherapy. Knowing I would face months of declining health and discomfort, my Mommy and Daddy made the decision to help me make my journey to the Bridge, We came back tonight so that I could be with my wonderful vet, Dr. Marino.

It is never easy to say goodbye to those you love, but, please know that I will never really leave you. Prince Pan Pan's Royal Art Gallery will live on, and Prince Pippin will continue my page, and my charity work. As they say, "The show must go on," and the events I loved – the Pirate Cats of the Caribbean Cruise for a Cause, The Masquerade Ball, Dancing with the Stars, and the Nutcracker will, too. He may even come up with some new ones of his own (he is a very creative guy). I know that he has big paws to fill, but I hope you will give him your support, as you always did for me.

Please don't spend too much time on sadness. My life was short, but it was filled with incredible joy. Every day, I knew that I was loved as much as a cat could ever be, and was blessed with the chance to know all of you, my wonderful furriends around the world. My Mommy held my paw tonight, and told me that you were with me, and I knew you were. When I opened my eyes, I saw the beautiful scenery of the Rainbow Bridge, and my dear furriend, Pee Wee the Deaf Kitty was holding out her paw to me. "C'mon Pan Pan!, "she said, we need to dance in the stars!" I love you my furriends, so look for me in the stars, until the day we meet again." >^..^<

Pan Pan did so much for Kittyland on Facebook, and he will be greatly missed.  We are proud that he was our friend and his memory will live on in our hearts forever. Our only regret is that our time together was too short.

Godspeed, Pan Pan.  May your next journey be filled with as much love as this one was.

  3. We're sorry to read this. We didn't know Prince Pan Pan, and we're surprised, since from reading this, not only is he living in our neighbor, but our veterinarian cared for him, too. We'll be sure to pay our respects for a neighbor we were too late to get to know.
