Welcome to a new post in our series "Lola on the Road." It was so much fun sharing my experiences with you in 2018  and I'm looking forward to continuing into 2019. I'm proud to announce that "Lola on the Road" is now an award-winning series! I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has responded so positively to this series and has asked for more. As long as I'm able to travel to cafés I'll continue to share them with you. My travels have taken me to cafes in Brooklyn, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Texas. I ended the summer in MI, where I not only got to visit two fabulous cafes but I also got to catch up with old friends and meet a blogging friend and another long-time Facebook friend for the first time (all of whom I met through my cats or through blogging. Cat people rule!) It was a great end to the summer.

As a lover of all things related to cats I knew I would enjoy visiting all of these wonderful cafes, but I am truly amazed by my experiences. I am meeting amazing people who are dedicated to making the world a better place for cats, and I'm gaining invaluable experience from each person I speak to. The impact the cafes have on their immediate communities is remarkable, and the impact on the rescue world is admirable.

Today I'm happy to share a great local cafe in Brooklyn, NY;  Brooklyn Cat Cafe. I had been wanting to visit this cafe for some time, but you know how it goes – life gets in the way. While I was at Jackson Galaxy’s Cat Camp last month I was able to chat with Lyvann, one of the volunteers, who warmly welcomed me to visit. I was a happy cat blogger!

I made a quick trip over to the Catsbury Park Cat Cafe and
Tea House while I was at the Catsbury Park Cat Convention in April. I couldn't think of a better way to spend a Saturday night, anyway.

I recently had the pleasure of attending bestselling author Pam Johnson-Bennett’s CatWise Cat Café Tour at Meow Parlour here in New York City. 

A Visit to Koneko Cat Cafe in NYC With CWA Members

On Tuesday I told you about BlogPurr, a wonderful cat writer's event I attended here in NYC.  After the sessions were over we ended our day with a visit to Koneko Cat Cafe on the Lower East Side.  It was the purrfect end to a purrfect day, and I loved spending quality time with some of my favorite bloggers - and friends!
