The 2021 Cat Writers' Association Certificates of Excellence

A few weeks ago The Cat Writers' Association (CWA) sent out a newsletter announcing the winners of Certificates of Excellence for the 2021 Annual Communications Contest. I was very excited to learn that I won 14 Certificates of Excellence this year.

For those who are unfamiliar with the organization, CWA  is a global, cat-centric organization that is dedicated to excellence in written, visual, and audio media. The organization is comprised of authors, photographers, videographers, graphic artists, bloggers, people on radio and television, and any other media out there, who share information about cats for the general public.

Here are my entries that won Certificates of Excellence and are finalists for the organization's coveted Muse Medallion:

The 2020 Cat Writers' Association Certificates of Excellence

A few weeks ago the Cat Writers' Association announced the Certificates of Excellence Winners in the 2020 Communications Contest. Similar to last year, I was blown away by the results because once again I was the top Certificate of Excellence winner. This year I was honored with 13.

The CWA 2019 Certificate of Excellence Winners are Announced and We're Very Surprised!

The Cat Writers’ Association has announced the winners for their 2019 Communications Contest. Last year I was very surprised at the results, but this time I was completely blown away! This year I won 14 Certificates of Excellence for the 15 entries I submitted. I’m very excited to share the top spot with my good friend Deb Barnes of Zee and Zoey. I have admired Deb and her work for many years and thought I could only aspire to be her equal in any way. To say I am extremely honored to be on par with her in the contest is an understatement.

Three Reasons Your Cat Needs Wet Food in Their Diet

This post is sponsored by Purina. We received coupons for free 12-packs of Fancy Feast for ourselves and a giveaway to discuss the importance of wet food in a cat's diet. Purina is not responsible for the contents of this post. Lola The Rescued Cat only shares information we feel will be of interest to our readers.

Cat Writers’ 25th Anniversary Conference

Purina has been a sponsor and supporter of Cat Writers’ Association since its inception in 1992, so I was thrilled that not only would they be presenting at the 25th Anniversary Conference, but they would also have a booth with staff available to speak one-on-one with members.

We're Winners! The 2018 CWA Annual Contest Was a Big Surprise For Us!

When I was writing our look back at 2018 I was pleasantly surprised at just how much content I was able to generate last year. I think that quite often bloggers crank out content without realizing they’re writing top notch posts. Sometimes we’re on autopilot, with the goal of sticking to our schedule or making sure we’re getting up a post on a weekly basis. Well, at least that’s how it is for me.
