A Year Without Lexy

Today marks one year since Lexy made her transition to the Rainbow Bridge, just six months and six days after Lola. That day feels like a lifetime ago, but also feels like it was yesterday.

Hello, friends. This is an overdue post, for sure. It has taken me a while to sit down and put words to paper because it is not an easy one for me to write. I have been determined to get this post up before the year's end, and I'm just making it. 

Lexy: September 2008 - July 22, 2024

Friends, this is another post I don't know how to start. With a very heavy heart I have to report that Lexy has made her transition to the Rainbow Bridge.

What We've Been Up To - An Update

Lola: Hello, and Happy Thursday! Boy, it has been a long time since I've meowed with all of you! And I have to say, I've missed our friends so much. A lot has been going on in our lives, and we finally have the time to give you a little update. We've tried writing this post before and it was very long. So we're going to do our best to keep it short. 

We're Back! And We Moved!

Lola: Hello, and Happy Purrsday! Oh, I've so missed all of our friends! Our lives have been so busy that our heads have been absolutely spinning. 

Lexy: Hello from me, too! I've missed blogging more than I imagined I would. And yes, our heads are spinning. Well, Mother's head is mostly spinning, and if it weren't for Alexa and Siri, she wouldn't know what day it is. 

Lola: But we've got some very exciting news! 

Lexy: As you can tell from the title of this post, we have moved. We are no longer city cats. Mother, Lola, and I have packed up and moved to the suburbs.

Hello, everyone. This is Lexy checking in. It has been quite some time since I've taken over the blog, and I must say it's been just too long! I've missed chatting with you all. 

Today starts Mother's fifth week at home while New York is paused. Just like in most states, humans here are practicing social distancing and unless they are essential employees they are supposed to stay home. Mother is very lucky and very grateful to be able to continue her job from home. I've decided to start a little series on the blog called "Working From Home With Cats" because, in my opinion, Mother is very lucky to have me as an assistant.

(That’s my girl!) This year (with Lexy’s permission, of course) I decided to write about how special this day is to me.
