I am in the middle of a “catification” project in my apartment, and one of the areas I needed to take a good look at and change was the litter box area.

Lola and Lexy’s litter box is in the living room. Previously it was in a boxed-in corner, and if one of them decided to engage in some “litter box stalking” the other was pretty much trapped. And the tracking! Oh, the tracking! Even though I use a good, low tracking litter, it would still get on my carpet and all over my furniture. It was also right in front of a bookcase that I would frequently need something from, and I would have to move the box to open the door. We all needed an update!

• Clear a place for your guests’ coats and bags.  You can clear a coat rack in your entrance way, or designate a bed as the place for them to drop their belongings. 
• Put on some music. This sets the mood and helps to relax your guests. 
• Adjust the lighting. Turn off bright overhead lights and turn on table lamps and light some candles. This makes everyone feel cozy. 
• Pick up a bouquet of flowers. They add some festiveness to your décor, and they smell nice, too. 
•  Clean the litter box. 

That’s right… I added the litter box to my list. Your guests won’t enjoy the succulent turkey or the delectable apple pie with funky litter box odors lingering nearby. Hello everyone. This is Lexy checking in with some information on a great product that we here at the White House love – ARM & HAMMER™ CLUMP & SEAL™ odor sealing litter. We are a multi-cat household that shares a one-bedroom apartment with a human, which means there are not a lot of options to hide the litter box.  It also means it’s hard to hide litter box odors. A stinky litter box sets the tone for the household.  As you can see, Lola and I were not happy when litter box odors took over the apartment, and neither was Mother.
