A City Kitty's View of the World

Hello and Happy Friday! As you know, Lexy and I are city cats. Now, some may think that when we sit in our windows we only see a concrete jungle, but that's not true.  Lexy and I have lots of trees, birds and squirrels to watch.

This is the view from our kitchen window.  We have lots of trees to see. What you can't see from this angle is the neighbor's yard, with even more interesting stuff.  See that balcony right there on the left? We have a doggie friend that lives there and when he comes out we sit and watch each other.

Look how long my tail is.

Oh, sorry. I got distracted.

OK, back to business.  See that red arrow? That's Brooklyn. And see that blue arrow? The subway is elevated where we live, and we can see it run through the trees there.

I love my view!

That's our neighbor's roof.  (Yes, it's almost close enough to reach out and touch.) We spend hours watching the squirrels and birds that land there.

I like being a city cat.

I also love my naps in the sun.

What do you see from your window?
Lola

  4. Nice view! Lots to watch......we are in a development with woods so I get to see tons of squirrels and birds......also foxes, skunks, possum, chipmunks, deer, cars going by on the main road, the kids next door playing, and love to watch my Mom riding the lawn tractor around!

  5. I bet you want to chase that subway when you see it MOL!!! I am on second floor of an apt/condo building so I see trees, today I was lucky! We don't usually have "Bird TV" but some birdies built a nest on our balcony behind our ladder that hangs on the wall and I got to see some GREAT "Bird TV!" Love, Cody

  6. I'm glad that you love being a city cat. My kitties can't see a city from our place. They can only spy on neighbors, which they certainly do! But they love napping in the window sun puddles. Happy Friday to you!
