Oh My Gravy! Weruva BFF OMG! is 'People Food for Cats" #weruvagrade

As much as I don’t like to admit it, I’m a picky eater. Our mom gets a little frustrated because sometimes it’s a struggle to get me to eat and my weight goes up and down. I just think she worries too much! And while I don’t eat a lot, Lexy eats too much. Sigh… what’s Mommy to do? Well, she’s not alone in her struggles. We recently learned that she is experiencing not one, but two of the most three common cat concerns; picky eating, weight gain, and urinary tract issues.

We’re partnering with Weruva a luxurious, natural pet food dubbed "people food for cats", which is launching a full line of gluten, grain, and carrageenan-free cat food in honor of International Cat Day and just in time for Happy Healthy Cat Month in September.

It's called B.F.F. OMG! (that stands for Best Feline Friend, Oh My Gravy). Oh My Gravy… that’s so cute! And it’s appropriate because the food has pawesome gravy! Oh… I can’t leave out the important part…Weruva is all about preventing these Big 3 Cat Concerns. If you can relate to any of these, you might want to consider changing their diet.

Is your cat a picky eater?

Picky eating is usually a problem with texture since cats are carnivores whose tongues and teeth are perfectly evolved for meat-eating. It's easy to see why a cat might dislike something without real shreds of meat—would you eat a steak with the texture of tapioca? Weruva's food features these shreds of real meat right off the bone, which is probably why I took to it like a duck to water (or a cat to gravy)!

Is your cat a little too rotund?

The problem is in the kibble. It's filled with unnecessary carbs, which are almost impossible for cats to process.  Weruva’s B.F.F. OMG! is 100% real meats in their true form.

Does your cat have urinary tract issues?

Urinary tract issues often stem from dehydration—even if you're giving your cat plenty of water. In the wild, cats stay hydrated through the food they eat instead of what they drink. Cats are used to 'eating' their water—but most wet foods don't have nearly enough hydration to keep them satisfied. All of the products in Weruva's B.F.F. OMG! line satisfies your cat's hydration needs.

Did you know Weruva products are considered ‘people food for pets? One year at BlogPaws Weruva was challenging people to try their food. Mommy didn’t do it, though. Hey! Maybe I should tell her she’s the picky eater! Anyhoo, the new line of B.F.F. OMG! cans and pouches feature land proteins like boneless and skinless white chicken breast, salmon, beef, duck, lamb and more. All recipes are grain, gluten, and carrageenan free. And if you are a BPA-free home, check out the pouches because they are BPA-free.

I gave the Chicken and Pumpkin at try. Did I like it? Look for yourself!

Lexy and I are glad we took the time to learn more about B.F.F OMG! And thanks to the generosity of the folks at Weruva we’ll get a little taste of the entire lineup. They also included a little snack for Mommy, and two cute little balls that Lexy and I will enjoy chasing around the house. You can read about their new lineup on their website. You can also find a flavor your cat will 'paw'sitively adore, at Chewy.com

  2. Sounds like these guys have got the right mentality to how to make cat food, and the main issues some of us cats face.
Thanks for a great review.... Being the worlds fussiest eater, and ticking ALL the boxes on the Weruva list, I'd love to try these out but they cost way too much to import or buy from Amazon here in the UK.
I shall stick with my mouse diet!

  3. We don't have that brand here and I'm sorry because the food it seems to be really healthy. My cat is not a picky eater (quite the contrary), but he does need to loose some weight

  4. Oh my, we have those here and they really are quite popular!!!

  5. We are having the same problem! Chucky is a picky eater, while Angel will vacuum up anything she finds. So he's skinny and she's zaftig! But, Chuck is taking a handful of pills twice a day; they may fill up his tummy. I may go buy a few pouches of these, just to see if Chucky laps them up. Thanks for the post!

  7. Lola, we knew you're picky so that picture is a pretty good testimony for this food. Lexy, Annie needs to lose some weight too. Great review. We're going to check this food out on Chewy.

  10. I want to try all those flavors!!! Bear and Ellie love gravy (she does what Kitty used to do ... lap up the chunks, strip the gravy and then spit out the chunks). Bear's umm ... extra endowed - and Ellie's quickly catching up (that girl eats everything ... it's ridiculous ... though I suppose she was also way too skinny when she was found on the street). I try to get them to play too. As Bear's gotten older, he's gotten pickier ... I'm so thankful when I find something he truly enjoys.
