Making the Most of All Nine Lives: The Extraordinary Life of Buffy the Cat - A review

Hello and Happy Tuesday! Have I got a spectacular book review for you today.  You might be surprised that I’m writing a book review since Mommy is usually our book reviewer, but let me explain.  Today’s book is about a tabby cat, and since I’m the only tabby here at the White house I’m the best reviewer for this book.  Makes sense to me!

Buffy The Cat

Buffy tells us that Making the Most of all Nine Lives – The extraordinary Life of Buffy the Cat “documents how I managed to trade hairballs for golf balls and scratching posts for the Evening Post. I’ve always felt that I never received enough attention, so I decided to transition from litter box to literature with this new tale of tabby.” Buffy personally loved learning to karate chip, which is great for self-defense and even better for hunting mice! This handsome ginger tabby really gets around.  His owner, Paul Smulson, does a very nice job of photographing Buffy’s adventures, which include:

Carving the Thanksgiving Turkey!

And boating!

So how did Buffy’s life of adventure start? Well, one day his Mr. Smulson put headphones on Buffy and reached for his camera.

Buffy sat for five minutes, holding different poses while he snapped away, and the rest is history! Buffy is one cool kitty, that’s for sure.

At 5”x6” this book is the purrfect size for a human to throw in their bag. It is full of 128 pages of fabulous color photos. Each photo has a comment by Buffy, penned by award winning author, Sandy Robbins.  Making the Most of all Nine Lives – The Extraordinary Life of Buffy the Cat was released by Triumph Books on the first ever National Tabby Day. (You can read about it here.) I would like to thank Buffy for starting this national holiday to honor us Tabbies. (I think every day should be Tabby Day, but that's just my opinion.)

About the Author:
Sandy Robins is an award-winning multimedia pet lifestyle expert, author and radio, TV and pet industry personality.  She is also Paul Smulson’s BFF (which also stands for Buffy Fan Forever!)

Dr. Paul Smulson has practiced oral surgery for 35 years.  He worked as a photojournalist for the Chicago Daily Defender during the Michael Jordan era and has had photographs appear in Sport Magazine, the Chicago Sun-Times and Fox Sports’ Beyond the Glory. He photographed zoo animals for years before focusing on Buffy.

From the Publisher:
Making the Most of all Nine Lives is the best thing to happen to the world since catnip.  Cat lovers will jump out of the bag and land on their feet to sink their claws into this must-own piece of kitty-lit.

Do you dress up your kitties? What’s their favorite outfit?
